EXPLORING THE EAST SEA COAST OF VIETNAM: FINDING A HOME BASE TO UNWIND IN MUI NE’S WELLNESS RETREAT
The heat in Vietnam can be unbearable at times, particularly when the humidity seeps through your pores after spending hours outdoors. For this reason, finding a comfortable home base is essential to explore the East Sea coast of Vietnam while unwinding and recharging batteries.
After exploring the country for a month and staying in two-star hotels and backpacker hostels, it was time to relax and treat myself to something more upscale. Mui Ne is a coastal destination that is known for its fishing villages, ancient Cham monuments, and laid-back atmosphere. The best way to experience this region meaningfully is by checking into a wellness retreat.
I did some research and was surprised by the high cost of resorts in the area. However, I decided to book a new, recently opened five-star facility, which not only offered reasonable pricing but essential amenities as well.
LOCATION & PROPERTY
The wellness retreat is located on the beautiful and serene Mui Ne riverside, facing the sea on one side and the Red canyon on the other side. The retreat has 44 rooms and suites each brightly decorated with coziness and peacefulness in mind. It also has a 300 square meter pool that is surrounded by sun lounges and cabanas where you can relax and bask in the sun while enjoying the magnificent views of the sea.
One of the unique features of the property is its eco-friendly approach. The retreat’s power is produced 90% by solar panels, and all of their water comes from its own well and gets treated in-house, which ensures guests can enjoy pure and clean water while minimizing environmental impact.
The main restaurant, The Lagoon, offers an extensive breakfast buffet with many local and international dishes, from Vietnamese pho and omelets to crispy croissants and pain au chocolat.
ACCOMMODATION & SPA
The wellness retreat offers three types of accommodation: Deluxe Riverview, Garden Suites, and Jacuzzi Suites.
The Deluxe Riverview is tastefully designed with a lot of natural light, giving it a bright and cozy feel. It has an outdoor balcony overlooking The Red Canyon, which is an excellent location to enjoy the beautiful sunset.
The Garden Suites are perfect for those who appreciate privacy and want an outdoor space to relax in. Each suite has its garden where guests can enjoy the surrounding greenery while sipping on a cup of tea or coffee.
The Jacuzzi Suites are ideal for those who want to relax in their private Jacuzzi while admiring the sea view from the balcony.
The spa at the retreat offers an extensive range of therapeutic massages and beauty treatments. It’s an excellent place to indulge in some relaxation while unwinding.
