World – private world
More than two million people have so far died as a result of the Covid virus, nineteen in its first version, a number that exceeds the number of deaths resulting from AIDS, malaria, cholera, and influenza of all kinds combined in the same period.
The Chinese virus of origin managed to eliminate a million people during the nine months since its appearance, but it only took three months for the number to reach two million.
The virus was not satisfied with that, as four genetically advanced copies of it appeared in four different points of the world, which prompted the World Health Organization to announce its intention to hold an emergency session on these mutated copies, which are more contagious than its predecessor.
After discovering the British, Japanese and South African versions of Covid 19, the organization confirmed that it had found a recent mutated version originating in the Brazilian Amazon.
The organization warned that the British and South African versions are more contagious than the main virus and are spreading in at least twenty-five countries so far, expecting more mutations to appear.
A warning indicating that the policy of closure and the initiation of vaccination campaigns in the world has not succeeded in curbing the spread of the pandemic. Tedros Adhanom, Director of the World Health Organization, considered that the world has failed to limit its spread so far.
As for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, he expressed his regret at the failure of international solidarity in the field of vaccination. He said in a statement that vaccines reach high-income countries quickly, while poor countries do not have any of them.
Guterres stressed that there are countries that buy more vaccines than they need, without specifying those countries, adding that the world will not overcome the epidemic if each country works alone.
