Prophet, peace be upon him

The Prophet is defined as a person chosen by God – the Most High – to reveal to him a special revelation through one of the angels, a good vision, or inspiration in his heart.[1] It is worth noting that Muhammad – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – is the greatest man in all of humanity. To God alone with no partner, and lived his whole life in the service of humanity, and God – the Most High – perfected the morals of His Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and testified in the Holy Qur’an to the greatness of Muhammad’s creation, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, where he said: (And you are of a great character),[2] And God Almighty made his creation beautiful, and the Companions, may God be pleased with them, described the beauty of their Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, as they said: (He was luxurious and ostentatious, his face shining with the twinkling of the moon on the night of the full moon).[3] It was narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah – may God be pleased with him – that he said: (I have not seen anything better than the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, as if the sun was running in his face).[4][5]

Effects of the Prophet, peace be upon him

The traces of the Prophet – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – are what he left behind from his personal tools after his death. Evidence for the scarcity of what the Messenger of God – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – left after his death has been reported, confirming what was narrated on the authority of Amr bin Al-Harith – may God be pleased with him – that he said: (When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, left, upon his death, a dirham, a dinar, a slave, a nation, or anything, except for the sacrifice of a calf.)[6] The following is a mention of some of the effects of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him:[7][8]

  • The Messenger’s Seal: It was proven that the Messenger of God – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – wore a ring on his hand, and after his death Abu Bakr, then Umar, and then Othman, may God be pleased with them all, wore it, but it was lost during the era of Othman, confirming what was narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin Omar – May God be pleased with him- that he said: (The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, took a fatwa from a paper, so he was in his hand, then he was in the hand of my father, and then he was in the hand of Omar, then he was in the hand of Omar, then he was in the hand of the age.[9]
  • Al-Burdah and Al-Qadib: A number of scholars, including Ibn Khaldun, Ibn Al-Atheer, and Al-Suyuti – may God have mercy on them – mentioned that the Messenger of God – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – gave a burda to Ka’b bin Zuhair bin Abi Salma, and later Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan – may God be pleased with him – bought it from The sons of Ka’b paid twenty thousand dirhams, and it remained with the caliphs, they inherited it as a slogan, and Imam Ibn Kathir – may God have mercy on him – mentioned that the Banu al-Abbas inherited the cloak of the Prophet – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – in succession from an ancestor, and the Caliph of Muslims wore it on the day of Eid, and he came out to the people carrying in his hand the penis attributed to The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, showed him serenity and dignity, and the matter remained so until she was over the able one when the Tatars killed him and was contaminated with blood. It was said that the mantle and the penis were lost in the year 656 AH at the end of the Abbasid state, when the Tatars burned it.
  • His hair and his shoes: It was said that the shoes of the Messenger of God – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – were lost in the sedition of Tamerlane in Damascus in 803 AH. And peace – it needs proof that removes doubt, and proves the correctness of its ratio. Sheikh Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani – may God have mercy on him – emphasized that the traces of the Prophet – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – such as clothes, hair, or droppings, have been lost, and no one can prove the existence of anything Including on the face of pieces and certainty.

Ruling on seeking blessings from the relics of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him

Seeking blessings from the relics of the Prophet – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – indicates the intensity of his love and longing for him, and it was mentioned in the Prophet’s biography which indicates that the Companions – may God be pleased with them – used to seek blessings from the relics of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, such as his hair, clothes, food, drink, water and ablution, and all Something from it, a hope from God Almighty that He would give them good by drawing close to His Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, and showing his love, and the Prophet – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – did not deny them that, and it was proven that the Companions – may God be pleased with them – used to be blessed with the relics of the Prophet – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. And peace – even after his death, as it was narrated that Abdullah bin Omar – may God be pleased with him – used to wipe the pulpit of the Prophet – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – to seek blessings from him, and they used to keep his hair – peace be upon him – and seek blessings from him, especially in wars, which indicates the permissibility of seeking blessings. The effects of the Prophet, peace be upon him.[10]

Characteristics of the Prophet, peace be upon him

God Almighty honored His Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, with many characteristics, some of which are explained below:[11]

  • The Great Intercession: God – the Most High – granted the greatest intercession to His Prophet – may God bless him and grant him peace – on the Day of Resurrection, in accordance with what the Most High said:[12] Ibn Jarir, may God have mercy on him, said: “Most of the interpreters said: This is the place that he – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – will rise on the Day of Resurrection to intercede for people, so that their Lord may relieve them of the great distress they are in on that day.”
  • The first person for whom the earth will split on the Day of Resurrection: It was narrated from the Messenger of God – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – that he said: “I am the first people to tear apart from my skull on the Day of Resurrection, and there is no pride. He will be the first to enter Paradise on the Day of Resurrection, and there is no pride, and I come to the gates of Paradise and take hold of its rings.)[13]
