And on King’s account, he posted a condolence statement issued by the TV company Ora TV, whose presenter was one of the founders.
The statement recalled Kimig’s accomplishments during his 63-year career, including a wonderful interview with thousands of prominent people, including US and foreign presidents.
King, who for years had been in serious trouble, celebrated his 87th birthday in hospital on November 19.
And earlier this month, it was reported that King had been transferred to hospital again, after he was diagnosed with the emerging coronavirus, and he was connected to artificial respirators.
King gained fame for hosting a personal program on CNN between 1985 and 2010.
