The World – Syria
Local sources reported to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that armed men belonging to the “Qasd” set up checkpoints inside the city of Al-Shaddadi and kidnapped a number of teachers after storming the neighborhoods of the city and took them to compulsory training camps with the aim of forcibly fighting them in their ranks.
The sources indicated that the raids and kidnappings were met with popular resentment and rejection of the practices of the “Qasd militia” and its attempt to impose everything by force of arms, especially the kidnapping of teachers, which leads to a decline in the educational level.
In a related context, an armed group of the “Qasd militia” raided the village of Al-Tarqiya, south of Al-Hasakah, and kidnapped a civilian from the village and took him to an unknown destination.
Yesterday, armed groups from the “Qasd militia” kidnapped more than 20 civilians randomly who were near their homes and took them to an unknown destination.
