The February 14 Youth Coalition in Bahrain issued a statement of condolences on the occasion of the death of the prominent thinker and political analyst, Anis Al-Naqqash, who passed away in Damascus days after being infected with the Coronavirus.
The following is the text of the statement:
In the name of of Allah the Merciful
(Among the believers are men who have believed what they have pledged to God against him, for some of them have spent his love, and some of them are waiting.)
We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return
Yesterday, in the Syrian capital Damascus, a lofty national stature and a prominent leader in the resistance front, the great fighter and fighter Anis Al-Naqqash (may God Almighty be pleased with him), head of the Aman Network for Strategic Studies, as a result of his infection with the Coronavirus, at the age of 70.
On this occasion and this great loss, we extend our condolences to the family of the happy deceased, and our brothers in the jihad in the resistance front and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hezbollah) in Lebanon and all the Islamic and national resistance factions, the Palestinian resistance factions, the Iranian people and the Lebanese people, and we ask God Almighty Almighty to give the dear deceased his broad mercy And to dwell in his spaciousness, and to bless his family and his family with patience and solace, that he is Hearing, Responsible.
The Mujahid leader, Anis Muhammad, is a proud patriotic stature, and an old fighter since the sixties of the last century, when he began his struggle and national struggle with the Palestinians and the Lebanese against the Zionist occupation entity, and against Arab reaction and global arrogance, and he did not know in his life fatigue and boredom, but was persistent and steadfast, as He was a mujahid, with his tongue and pen, who supported the liberation movements and the Lebanese and Palestinian resistance movements, and called for resistance against the usurper Zionist occupation entity, so he was a thorn in the eyes of the Zionists and their imperialist masters and their reactionary agents.
The late Mujahid and militant Anis al-Naqqash was a zealous, courageous and daring fighter, and had spent his blessed life in struggle, jihad and struggle, carrying the vision of the Palestinian cause, which he believed in from a young age, and he continued to strive, struggle and fight for it throughout his life, and after the victory of the Islamic revolution in Iran led by Imam Khomeini May God Almighty be pleased with him), and expanded the space of his struggle and jihad, whereby the issue of resistance became a fateful issue, and he believed in it in order to achieve the supportive victory over the Zionists and their American masters and the global arrogance, so he was the voice of the resistance media defending it in all intellectual, cultural and political arenas.
Yes, the late Anis al-Naqash had a clear impact through his venerable and great activities for the Arab and Islamic liberation movement, so his departure was a great loss because of his principled positions in various fields, which enabled him to keep abreast of developments and events up-to-date and to present a very accurate and sobriety political approach.
It is worth noting that the late Professor Anis al-Naqqash had joined the ranks of the Fatah movement in 1968, and held several positions there, and then joined the student work and the Lebanese organizational work, and assumed some security responsibilities in Palestine, Lebanon and Europe.
He was the first to launch the “Hezbollah” formations in southern Lebanon after the Israeli occupation in 1978 AD. He also witnessed the secrets and secrets of the Lebanese civil war and revealed many of them.
He was imprisoned for ten years in France after the successful assassination attempt on former Iranian Prime Minister Shahpour Bakhtiar in Paris, after which he was released in 1990.
