Almonds, pistachios, and others, or with cream, or chocolate, then serve them with hot drinks such as tea, coffee, and natural juices of various kinds, and in this article we will introduce you to how to prepare simple oriental sweets.

Simple oriental sweets

Basbousa

the components:

  • Two and a half cups of semolina.
  • A cup of shredded coconut.
  • Seventy-five grams of flour.
  • cup of powdered sugar.
  • Quarter of a tablespoon of baking powder.
  • A cup of yoghurt.
  • cup of melted butter.
  • Half a tablespoon of vanilla.
  • Thirty grains of almonds.

Diameter components:

  • A cup and a half of sugar.
  • Two hundred and fifty milliliters of water.
  • Half a tablespoon of lemon juice.

How to prepare:

  • Mix the water with sugar, in a saucepan, put it on the fire, leave it until it boils, then remove the mixture from the fire, add lemon juice to it, then stir the ingredients well until they are homogeneous, and leave it aside until it cools, so that the diameter is ready.
  • Put the semolina in a bowl, then add the flour, sugar, coconut, baking powder and vanilla to it, stir the ingredients well until they are mixed, then add the butter and yogurt, and stir the ingredients well until the mixture becomes homogeneous.
  • Pour the mixture into a tray greased with tahini, and chop the almonds using a knife, and sprinkle on top.
  • Preheat the oven to a medium temperature, and put the tray in it for a third of an hour, until the basbousa is red and cooked.
  • Pour the cold syrup over the basbousa immediately after you take it out of the oven, leave it until it cools, and then serve.

Fried Qatayef

the components:

  • One and a half cups of flour.
  • A quarter of a tablespoon of yeast.
  • Quarter of a tablespoon of baking powder.
  • A quarter of a tablespoon of sugar.
  • Two cups only a quarter of milk.
  • Cream as desired.
  • diameter as desired.
  • frying oil.

How to prepare:

  • Mix the milk, yeast, baking powder, sugar and flour in a bowl, stir the ingredients well until the mixture becomes homogeneous.
  • Heat a pan of Tefal on the fire, then pour a small amount of the mixture in the middle in the form of a circle, and leave it until bubbles appear on its face, then turn it on the other side, and leave it until it turns red, and repeat the process until the existing amount is finished.
  • Fill the dough with cream, and close it with your hands.
  • Heat the oil, put the katayef in it, and leave it until red on both sides, then put it in the cold syrup, take it out of it, and serve.
