🛎 Saudi Airlines – domestic flight conditions for residents

  • Domestic flight conditions
    Saudi Airlines stressed a number of conditions that must be met in order for the resident to be able to travel via domestic flights, the most important of which is the presence of the original residence, or passport, and it is valid.
    The latest update (28.9.2020) on the official Saudi Arabian Airlines website regarding domestic flights stated the following: “If you are traveling to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, please kindly follow the health instructions below based on the directions issued by the health authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to maintain your health when Traveling with Saudi Arabia.
    1. It is allowed to travel to and from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for guests who are citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and hold valid (exit and return, work, residence, visit) visas.
    2. The travel with the national identity of citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries has been temporarily suspended.
    3. All arriving guests (except for Saudi citizens) must present a PCR examination certificate with a negative result proving that they are free from the emerging corona virus, issued by a reliable laboratory outside the Kingdom, not exceeding 48 hours from the time of taking the sample until the time of arrival in the Kingdom, and guests who do not carry A negative examination certificate from boarding the plane.
    4. The above does not apply to countries where travel to or coming from it has been suspended as a result of the outbreak of the new Corona virus, based on the decision of the relevant committee to take all necessary measures to prevent the outbreak of the new Corona virus in the Kingdom. Travel has been suspended (except for guests who have received official government invitations) to and from India, Brazil and Argentina, including anyone who was in these countries in the last (14) days before his arrival in the Kingdom.
    5. All guests must complete and sign the Health Conditions Commitment Form and deliver it later to the airport health monitoring center upon arrival.
    6. All guests will be subjected to selfquarantine at home for a period of two days from the date of arrival to the Kingdom, with a PCR examination performed immediately after its completion, and in the absence of the examination, the home quarantine continues for a period of 7 days.
    7. All guests are required to install and sign up for two apps.
    8. Guests are required to locate the home through the Tatman app within 8 hours of arrival.
    9. Guests should monitor the symptoms of the emerging corona virus and call 937 immediately if any of the symptoms appear, or go to the health center or emergency when necessary.
    10. Guests must log on to the Tatman app and take a daily health assessment
    11. 🛎 Opening Saudi Airlines: travel guidelines and conditions for Saudi returnees

Based on the latest statement issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (dated September 14, 2020), conditions have been set Allowing returnees to be transported to the Kingdom, in addition to permitting international travel for visa holders. The following permit items include exceptional trips for specific cases:

  • As of January 1, 2021, and in accordance with the measures taken before the outbreak of the epidemic, complete restrictions on the exit and return of citizens to and from the Kingdom will be lifted and the air, sea and land ports will be allowed to open.
  • The date for the lifting of restrictions and the suspension or permission will be announced 30 days before January 1, 2021. If necessary, the Ministry of Health will be required to submit a request to establish preventive measures and restrictions. Health procedures required of travelers and carrier providers during travel in lounges at airports, ports and stations.
  • The following categories of citizens are allowed to travel outside the Kingdom and return to it, under certain conditions:

A- Civilian and military civil servants with official duties.
B – Workers in Saudi diplomatic and consular missions, attached abroad, and workers in regional and international organizations, their families and their companions.
C- Workers in permanent jobs in public, private or nonprofit establishments outside the Kingdom and those who have jobs in companies or commercial establishments outside the Kingdom.
D- Businessmen whose business requires travel to complete commercial and / or industrial activities, in addition to export, marketing and sales managers whose duties require them to visit clients.
E – Patients whose treatment requires travel outside the Kingdom, based on medical reports, especially cancer patients and patients in need of organ transplantation.
F- Students who have scholarships or who study on their own expense and are trainees in medical fellowship programs whose studies or training require travel to the countries in which they study or train and their families.
G- Whoever has humanitarian cases, especially the following two cases:
1A citizen or citizen requesting to be reunited with his relatives residing outside the Kingdom.
2) The death of the husband, wife, parent, or child outside the Kingdom.
H – Expatriates from outside the Kingdom and their dependents, along with proof of their legal residence outside the Kingdom.
I- Participants in regional and international official sporting events, including players and members of the technical and administrative staff.

  • Permission to enter and leave the Kingdom for citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and it is allowed for nonSaudis who obtained any of the following visas:
    Exit and return, work permit, game (resident) permit or visit. The entry of citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and nonSaudis into the Kingdom is subject to preventive health measures taken by the competent committee to prevent the spread of the Corona virus in the Kingdom. The requirements include that anyone entering the Kingdom must provide evidence that they are free of COVID19 infection according to the latest medical test conducted by a trusted body outside the Kingdom. The duration of this test does not exceed 48 hours prior to arrival in the Kingdom.
