Samsung unveiled in a special event its new “Exynos 2100” Exynos 2100 chip based on the ARM Cortex-X1 architecture, which is the first from the company to be attached to a 5G modem and the second in terms of 5 nm manufacturing technology.
ARM Cortex-X1 architecture delivers high-performance processor frequency of 2.9GHz, and Samsung claims processor speed is 30% higher than Exynos 990 in multi-core tasks; It houses 3 A78 and four A55 cores, providing energy savings.
While the company indicated that the new improvements in the Exynos 2100 chip come with a 10% higher performance speed on the same energy consumption, while saving consumption by 20% over its predecessors.
As for the graphics processing unit used with the chip, it is Mali-G78 manufactured with 14 nm technology and gives 40% higher performance strength according to the company; While the processor supports a camera sensor up to 200 megapixels, which we have touched upon in a previous report.
It is worth noting that the new processor entered the expanded manufacturing process with the strong results it achieved during the experiments to be a fierce competitor in the smart phone market that may open a new page different from what was the case when comparing it with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors.
