Causes of dark circles

There are many reasons behind the appearance of dark circles around the eye area, the most prominent of which are genetic factors, and it may be a result of aging, fatigue, tired eyes, crying for long periods, poor nutrition, overwork and lack of sleep, or it may be a result of dry skin surrounding it, and both Both sexes are prone to the appearance of dark circles, as it is not a serious disease, but rather reflects the extent of your fatigue.[2]

Ways to remove dark circles

To get rid of dark circles, there are a variety of recipes and home remedies used for this purpose, the most prominent of which are:[3]

  • Almond oil: a natural product that does not harm eye health, is able to moisturize the eye area and rid it of blackness, and this is by gently massaging the area during the evening periods and leaving it for a whole night and in the morning the oil is washed with cold water, its use is repeated daily until it disappears auras;
  • Cucumber: because it has lightening and whitening properties for the skin, and this is by cutting the cucumber to a group of slices and placing them to cool in the refrigerator, then taking them out and placing them around the eye area, and it is repeated about twice a day for a week until the dark circles disappear, and cucumber juice can also be used. Mix it with lemon juice in an equal amount and apply it to the eye area. Once 15 minutes have passed, it is washed with lukewarm water and applied for a week daily.
  • Potato: Its bleaching properties make it one of the treatments used to get rid of dark circles, and this is by placing a grain or two of potatoes in the refrigerator and then squeezing it after it cools down and applying the juice on the face and leaving it for 10-15 minutes, repeating it twice a day until results are obtained. Desired, potatoes can also be cut into slices and placed on the eye area.
  • Rose water: Its properties enable it to calm the skin and make it a treatment for dark circles, and this is by applying rose water to the eye area, leaving it for about 15 minutes, twice a day.
  • Tomatoes: by mixing a tablespoon of tomato juice with half a tablespoon of lemon juice, and applying it to the black area for 10 minutes, twice a day.
  • Coconut oil: This is done by gently massaging the area, leaving it for a number of hours, and using it twice daily.
  • Tea bags: by cooling them in the refrigerator before placing them on the eyes for 10-15 minutes, they are placed twice daily.
  • Turmeric: Mix two tablespoons of its powder with a little pineapple juice, then paint the area with the formed paste and leave it for 10 minutes, repeat daily to reach the desired results.
