Pedersen discusses the latest developments in Syria with Bin Farhan

Pedersen wrote on Twitter that he and the Saudi minister “exchanged views on the situation on the political direction and prospects for progress in the political process” in Syria.

He added, “We continue to discuss the extent of our progress towards implementing UN Security Council Resolution 2254 and ways to move forward with that.”

Pedersen last week met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on November 19 and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on November 21.

This comes just before a new meeting of the Syrian Constitutional Committee in Geneva, which is scheduled to last from November 30 to December 4.
