Official Pakistani sources said Friday evening, that during the meeting of the National Committee for Corona Virus Management in Islamabad, a decision was taken to revitalize 4 new border crossings with Iran.

The Pakistani Ministry of Interior published an official statement on the resumption of the activity of 4 new border crossings with Iran and said that the border crossings will be opened “Ghab, Mend, Katr, Chadgi” over the days of the week for border trade between Pakistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The statement, a copy of which reached the office of the Islamic Republic of News Agency “IRNA” in Islamabad, said that the four border crossings will officially operate from Sunday, July 5, and include activities of exports and imports and unlimited transit of goods trucks with adherence to health protocols between the two countries.

Two weeks ago, Pakistan had decided to reopen the Taftan-Marjawa crossing, seven days a week, for commercial exchange between the two countries.

It is mentioned that Sistan and Balogestan Province, in the southeast of Iran, have 7 border markets. 5 of which are Pakistan, which are “Mirjawah” in Zahedan, “Bishin” in Sarbaz, “Kohk” and “Jalik” in Sarawan and “Remedan” in Jabahar, and 2 of them are with Afghanistan, “Melk” and “Khashad” in Zabul.
