The official website of the AFC announced the choice of Qatar to host the matches of the AFC Champions League 2020 for the West Asian region, which includes Arab clubs, from the group stage to the semi-finals, which are held from September 14 to October 3 2020.
The Federation statement confirmed that the Asian National Federations have an opportunity until July 24 in order to submit applications to host the AFC Champions League matches for the East Asian region, and until July 17 in order to request to host the AFC Cup matches.
The AFC had previously announced the date for the resumption of competitions for the West Continent region with a new system where all the group stage matches of the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup will be held according to the original system, while the elimination round matches will be held from one round.
It is noteworthy that the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup matches have been suspended since last March due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus.
