On Saturday, the Moroccan Ministry of Health announced the registration of 1345 new cases of the virus that causes the “Covid-19” disease (compared to 1144 cases yesterday), which brings the total number of infections that have been detected in the country since the beginning of the pandemic to 32007.
During the last 24 hours, the Ministry recorded 19 new deaths due to the epidemic (compared to 14 deaths yesterday), which raises the death toll from the pandemic in the country to 480 deaths.
The number of people recovering from “Covid-19” in Morocco increased during the last day by 642 cases, to 22190.
There are still 9,337 active cases of coronavirus in Morocco, including 122 critically ill patients, 40 of whom are on ventilators.
More than a quarter of the injuries recorded in Morocco (26%) are due to the Casablanca-Settat region, followed by the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region (about 23%).
The coordinator of the National Center for Public Health Emergency Operations at the Ministry of Health, Mr. Maad Lamrabet, pointed out that the infection rate in the country has reached four cases among every 100,000 residents of the Kingdom, indicating that this rate varies according to the regions, as the forefront returns to the Marrakesh region in seven cases.
