Tagine with almonds

the ingredients

  • Lemon.
  • Three cups of ground almonds.
  • Ninety-five grams of powdered sugar.
  • Two eggs.
  • Nine hundred grams of butter.
  • Ground pistachios, and powdered sugar for garnish.

How to prepare

  • Peel the lemon, put it in a bowl, then cut the peel into small pieces.
  • Put sugar in a bowl, then add eggs, butter, ground almonds, lemon peel, sugar, and mix the ingredients well until you get a cohesive and soft dough, then form the dough in the form of wide fingers, and cut them into equal pieces, then make a hole in the upper part of it using the finger .
  • Put a little powdered sugar on the tray, then put the pieces of dough in it, and put the tray into the oven, and leave it for 35 minutes until it is cooked.
  • Put the dough pieces in powdered sugar, roll well, then sprinkle with pistachios, and serve.

Tunisian almond puree

the ingredients

  • Two hundred and fifty grams of ground almonds.
  • One hundred grams of powdered sugar.
  • One hundred and twenty-five grams of fine semolina.
  • Three eggs.
  • Shred the peel of an orange.
  • Three drops of bitter almond spirit.
  • Two teaspoons of rose water.
  • Four teaspoons of vanilla flavored sugar.
  • A quarter of a tablespoon of yeast.
  • pinch of salt.
  • Two hundred grams of powdered sugar.
  • A quarter cup of orange juice.
  • quarter cup of lemon juice.
  • Four cups of water.
  • Coarsely chopped pistachios for garnish.
  • Sufficient amount of cold drip.

How to prepare

  • Put the semolina in a bowl, then add the yeast, almonds, and mix well.
  • Put the sugar in another bowl, then add the eggs, orange blossom water, sugar, salt, orange zest, and almond spirit, and mix the ingredients well.
  • Put the second mixture on the first, then stir well to get a cohesive and soft dough.
  • Spread the mixture in a tray and put it in the oven for 40 minutes until it is cooked and reddened, then take it out, and cut it into small squares.
  • Put the syrup on the face of the tray, then let it cool down, decorate it with pistachios and leave it to cool.
