Daily Orange Cake (Manal Al-Alam Kitchen)
- Two cups of flour.
- A tablespoon of baking powder.
- A small pinch of salt.
- A cup of fine sugar.
- Five eggs.
- A cup of vegetable oil.
- Three quarters of a cup of orange juice.
- A tablespoon of orange zest.
- A teaspoon of liquid vanilla.
- One and a half cups of fine sugar.
- A teaspoon of orange zest.
- Two tablespoons of orange juice.
- Two drops of orange food coloring.
How to prepare
- Put a piece of butter paper in the oven tray.
- Sift the flour onto a sheet of butter or into a suitable bowl.
- Sift the baking powder and salt over the flour.
- Put the sugar and eggs in the mixer and put the paddle for that.
- We work on the mixer on medium speed until the mixture becomes light in color.
- Add both the oil and orange juice to the ingredients.
- We mix the ingredients well.
- Add the flour mixture, orange zest and vanilla to the previous ingredients and start whisking them until all of the flour and orange zest disappear.
- Pour the mixture into the oven tray.
- Put the tray in the oven for no more than 45 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius.
- Leave the cake some of its maturity (become golden in color).
- We leave the cake to cool down well.
- Remove the parchment paper and place it on a serving plate.
- Prepare orange sauce by putting sugar, zest, orange juice and color in a suitable dish.
- Stir the ingredients until smooth to distribute on the cake.
- Decorate the cake with orange zest, put it in the fridge and serve after that.
Another way to make orange cake
- Two cups of ghee.
- Two and a half cups of fine sugar.
- Two scrambled eggs.
- Three cups of cream or milk.
- Two and a half cups of coconut.
- Three teaspoons of carbon.
- Sprinkle two lemons or rose water.
How to prepare
- We melt the ghee on a low heat.
- Put all the ingredients in the blender, except for the coconut, and mix them.
- Put the mixture in a suitable container.
- Add coconut to the mixture.
Put the mixture in the oven tray.
