Lenovo has officially confirmed its plans to launch new ThinkPads devices that feature the AMD Ryzen Pro 5000 series of processors, and reviewed the specifications of the new AMD Ryzen PRO 7 5850U and Ryzen 5 5650U processors.
A report published recently on the Hewlett Packard website revealed a series of new AMD processors targeting mobile devices, and today Lenovo confirms the processors and reviews the specifications of these versions before the official announcement.
Lenovo is scheduled to provide an update to the ThinkPad T14s with two AMD Ryzen PRO processors, as the Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U processor comes with 6 cores and 12 threads and also offers 4.2 GHz, and an 8-core version is also available, which is known as the Ryzen 7 PRO processor. 5850U and supports 4.4 GHz.
AMD Ryzen PRO 7 5850U and Ryzen 5 5650U processors also support TDP capacity from 10 to 25 watts, also some of the specifications of these processors are still imprecise so far, as the specifications did not clarify whether the distinctive architecture of the processors is the same architecture that the original versions were presented in.
