This came in a speech delivered by Ardakanian on Thursday via video conference at the “Europe – Caspian Sea” conference hosted by Berlin, Germany, to discuss issues related to expanding economic cooperation, especially in the field of energy, with the countries bordering the Caspian Sea.
Ardakanian explained that Iran is in light of the great energy resources it enjoys, the efficient and specialized manpower and the vast energy facilities that it has, in addition to its geographical location that connects the Caspian Sea to the north with the Persian Gulf to the south and the transit corridor located at the crossroads of the east, north and south, and its common land and sea borders with 15 countries. Provides suitable opportunities for the transit of goods from the Caspian Sea countries and the development of the performance of international transport corridors, including energy and electric power transmission corridors in particular.
He added: We also have the appropriate infrastructure to strengthen relations with neighboring countries surrounded by land and link them to global markets We have already demonstrated in practice our commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region.
He also addressed the speech to European countries, saying: The European Union countries, within the framework of bilateral or multilateral agreements, such as the “Eco” organization, can accompany us to expand cooperation in the region.
He continued: The conditions are also available for Europe to move to meet its energy needs by contracting related investments with Iran.
