Cake Ingredients:

  • Two cups and three quarters of a cup of flour.
  • Two cups of fine-grained sugar.
  • A cup each of: milk, and soft butter.
  • Half a cup of mashed strawberries.
  • Four large eggs.
  • Two and a half teaspoons of baking powder.
  • A teaspoon of liquid vanilla.
  • A quarter of a teaspoon of salt.
  • A pack of strawberry jelly.

Filling Ingredients:

  • Two cups of strawberry slices.
  • Three cups of liquid cream.

How to prepare

  • Install the oven net rack in the middle, and preheat the oven to a temperature of one hundred and eighty degrees Celsius.
  • Grease two molds measuring approximately twenty-two centimeters with ghee, and put butter paper in the bottom of each one.
  • Sprinkle a little flour on the edges of the inner molds so that they are covered, then get rid of the excess flour.
  • Sift the flour, salt, and baking powder onto the parchment paper or into a deep bowl.
  • Beat butter with sugar, and strawberry jelly in an electric mixer for three minutes on medium speed until the mixture becomes creamy.
  • Add the egg one by one, whisking well after adding each egg until it disappears completely and is homogeneous with the ingredients.
  • Add the last egg with vanilla to the cake mixture, and mix the ingredients well until the traces of eggs disappear in the mixture.
  • Add the mashed strawberries, and half of the sifted flour to the mixture, and mix the ingredients until the flour is homogeneous with the rest of the ingredients.
  • Add the remaining amount of flour and milk to the cake mixture and beat for one to two minutes to obtain a creamy mixture.
  • Evenly distribute the cake mixture between the two prepared pans.
  • Bake the cake in the hot oven for thirty minutes until it is completely done, and a wooden stick can be inserted in the middle of the cake to ensure its maturity.
  • Place cake on a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
  • Place one layer of cake on top of the serving plate, then put a few sheets of butter paper around it so that the plate does not get dirty.
  • Distribute a little cream over the cake, and distribute half the amount of strawberries in order.
  • Put the second layer of cake, and distribute the rest of the cream on its surface and on the edges using a wide, flat knife.
  • Decorate the cake with strawberry slices, and put it in the refrigerator for several hours before serving, so that it tastes better.

  • A basket of chopped strawberries.
  • Two packs of strawberry jelly.
  • Five large eggs.
  • One teaspoon each: liquid vanilla, and a fine zest of orange.

How to prepare

  • Grease a cake pan with a hole in the middle, and grease it with ghee using a kitchen brush.
  • Sprinkle the mold with flour so that it covers its edges and bottom well, and gets rid of excess flour.
  • Put the oven rack in the middle, and preheat the oven to one hundred and eighty degrees Celsius.
  • Beat the sugar with the eggs, vanilla, and orange zest until the ingredients are homogeneous, ten to twelve minutes on medium speed.
  • Add the sifted flour to the sugar mixture, and stir the ingredients with a rubber spatula lightly until the ingredients are homogeneous.
  • Pour the cake mixture into the prepared cake pan, and bake it in a hot oven for twenty-five minutes, and test the cake’s maturity by inserting a wooden stick into it. If it comes out clean, the cake will be ripe.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and place it on a metal rack with the mold for several minutes.
  • Remove the cake from the mold, and leave it on the metal rack until it cools completely.
  • Wash the used cake pan, then put half of the cut strawberries in its bottom.
  • Put two cups of water in a medium-sized saucepan, and put it over the fire until the water begins to boil.
  • Add the jelly to the water and whisk it well until it dissolves, then add a cup of ice water.
  • Add half a cup of jelly on top of the strawberries placed in the mold, and put it in the refrigerator until the jelly sticks.
  • Put the cake on top of the jelly layer, then add the rest of the jelly to cover the cake.
  • Put the cake in the refrigerator for several hours, preferably until the next day, until the jelly hardens, then serve decorated with the remaining amount of strawberries.
