hair gel

The gel consists of moisturizers, plasticizers, and water-soluble polymers, as these ingredients help facilitate hair styling, increase its shine, and prevent hair from sticking together.[1] Since some types of hair gel cause hair to dry out, and prevent moisture from being distributed well on all parts of the hair, especially the types that contain silicone, it is preferable to use some natural ingredients to prepare the gel.[2]

Chemical hair gel industry

The components of hair gel that are sold in the market are often chemical elements, easily available in shops, as well as being inexpensive, but they are considered the most toxic and harmful to the hair, as some components are mixed, such as: methylparaben, And (in English: cetereth-25), (English: PEG-8 Methicone), and (English: PEG-7 Glyceryl cocoate), in addition to industrial fragrances, noting that they are the most toxic in hair gel.[1]

  • Use the hair gel for a period ranging from one to two weeks after its manufacture.

Tips for using hair gel

It is preferable to store the gel pack in the refrigerator, to extend the shelf life of its use, and store it in small containers, and open them when needed, taking care to put a sticker and write the date of manufacture, to avoid confusion with food cans in the refrigerator.[3]
