Milk Sauce Ingredients:

  • Two cups of yoghurt.
  • Half a cup of sour cream.
  • Three cloves of crushed garlic.

  • Half a teaspoon of ground black pepper.

Fatteh Ingredients:

  • Two large eggplant, cut into medium cubes.
  • Five loaves of Arabic bread cut into squares.
  • Three hundred grams of cooked minced meat.
  • A cup of chicken or beef broth.
  • A quarter cup of fresh lemon juice.
  • Corn oil – for frying -.
  • Fried pine nuts – for serving.

How to prepare

Prepare the milk sauce:

Meat Moussaka Ingredients:

  • Salt and ground black pepper – to taste.

  • Tomato paste.

  • Twelve tablets of Makdous.
  • Hot chili threads.

How to prepare

Prepare the crispy bread:

  • Brush the pita bread with a little olive oil and sprinkle it with a little salt on each side of the bread.
  • Bake the bread in the oven at a temperature of one hundred and eighty degrees Celsius for a few minutes until it turns red and golden.

Prepare the tarator sauce:

  • Mix all the ingredients for the tarator sauce with each other in a deep dish and leave it aside until serving.

Preparing the meat moussaka:

  • Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over a medium heat, add the onions to the hot oil and saute it until it caramelizes a little, then add the meat, stir it with the onions and cook it until it softens and turns brown.
  • Add tomato paste and hot chili paste to the meat and onions, stir the mixture and cook for one minute, and season it by adding a little salt and black pepper.
  • Add the eggplant to the tomatoes and cook for about three minutes.

Presentation of the gesture:

  • Put half of the bread, half of the moussaka meat and eggplant in the dish and add an amount of tarator sauce.
  • Distribute the rest of the moussaka meat and eggplant, pour the rest of the tarator sauce over the meat mixture, add the remaining amount of crispy bread, and decorate the fattah dish by adding the makdous, hot sauce and peaches.
