The date of the Prophet’s marriage to Khadija

The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, married Mrs. Khadija fifteen years before the mission, and he was at that time twenty-five years old, and Mrs. Khadija – may God be pleased with her- was forty years old. Abu Hala bin Zarara bin Al-Nabash Al-Tamimi, Ateeq bin Aa’idh bin Omar bin Makhzoom, and Mrs. Khadija had money and continuous trade that did not stop back and forth. – She had her trade at the hands of the Prophet, peace be upon him, so Lady Khadija wanted him, so his uncle Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib – may God be pleased with him – betrothed to him from her uncle Amr bin Asad.[1]

Khadija, may God be pleased with her

She is the venerable Lady Khadija bint Khuwaylid bin Asad bin Abdul Uzza bin Qusay, her mother is Fatima bint Zaida bin Al-Asam, and Khadija was the first woman whom the Prophet, peace be upon him, married, and the mother of all his children except Ibrahim. He believed him and followed his message, and she was given the glad tidings of Paradise, and the Prophet – may God bless him and grant him peace – loved her so much that Aisha – may God be pleased with her – was jealous of her; Because of the severity of what the Prophet – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – mentions and shows his love for her, he would slaughter a sheep and distribute some of it to Khadija’s friends, and he rejoiced with joy at seeing her sister Hala.[2][3]

The death of Mrs. Khadija

Lady Khadija – may God be pleased with her – died in the tenth year of the mission in the month of Ramadan, three years before the Hijrah, and was buried in Al-Hujun; It is a mountain at the top of Mecca, and the Prophet – peace be upon him – came down in her grave, and she was sixty-five years old when she died.[2]
