Google is working to enhance the efficiency of augmented reality technology in dual camera phones

The search giant has begun working on developing augmented reality technology in distinctive Android phones with a dual camera, with the aim of enhancing the camera’s efficiency to capture more accurate details.

Android Police spotted a new update in the Google Play platform services in the AR application, which now supports changes that include the depth of the dual camera, provided that support includes both the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL phones only at the present time.

The change is also scheduled to include ARCore devices compatible with Android phones with a dual camera feature later, with Google starting to push new support in the coming weeks, but the new features will not appear in the Pixel 5 and 4a 5G phones featured with the dual camera at the present time,

Expectations indicate that enhancing the augmented reality technology in the Pixel 5 and 4a 5G phones will not benefit from these versions due to the support of these versions for a secondary ultra-high-resolution camera with wide viewing angles, that is, different from the telephoto cameras in the Pixel 4 and 4 XL phones.
