Donuts

Donuts are one of the most important American dishes that are prepared in abundance.   • A cup of granulated sugar added to it a spoonful of cinnamon.
  • Melted liquid chocolate (in a water bath).
  • Melted white chocolate (in a water bath).

How to prepare

  • In a deep dish, put the amount of flour, sugar, yeast and baking powder, then stir the dry ingredients until they mix together.
  • Add milk, oil, egg, vanilla, and stir all ingredients.
  • Gradually add warm milk and start the kneading process until you have a soft, smooth dough.
  • Cover the dough with cling film and leave it in a warm place to rest and ferment for at least an hour.
  • Start by cutting the dough into equal loaves and let it rest again for a quarter of an hour.
  • Roll the loaf and spread it out to be of medium thickness.
  • Cut the donuts according to the mold specified for them, and if you do not have a donut mold, you can cut them with a circular cutter and empty them from the inside with the cover of a mineral water bottle.
  • Drain the donut pieces after cutting them on a flat surface greased with a little oil and leave them to ferment and rise to the top.
  • After the donuts are fermented, fry them in abundant oil and leave them to brown on both sides and acquire a golden color.
  • You can coat the donuts while they are hot with icing sugar or sprinkle a little powdered sugar on them.
  • You can dip the donuts in melted dark chocolate, white or pink chocolate.
  • You can also sprinkle some sweets decorating pills on them, so decorating matters remain subject to taste and desire.
  • You can fry the hollowed-out mini donuts after fermentation and you will get a small ball-sized donut.
  • Arrange the donuts in a serving bowl and decorate as you wish.

Donut dough without eggs

the ingredients

  • Four cups of flour.
  • One and a half cups of liquid milk.
  • One and a half sticks of butter or ghee.
  • Half a cup of caster sugar.
  • A tablespoon of instant yeast.
  • Pinch of salt to taste.

How to prepare

  • Mix all the dry ingredients together as we did before.
  • Add warm milk and eggs and add ghee or butter after melting them, and mix all the ingredients together until the dough becomes soft and cohesive, then let it rest and ferment for an hour until it doubles in size.
  • Cut the dough into circles and leave it to ferment again for ten minutes.
  • Fry them in hot oil until golden, then put them on blotting paper and decorate as you wish.
