Google employees announced the launch of a new union alliance called Alpha Global that includes Google employees around the world.
A global trade union coalition brings together Google employees in 10 countries around the world, with the union alliance entitled “Alpha Global” to be launched.
The countries that include Google employees in the new trade union alliance include the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Ireland, Italy, Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Belgium, and the alliance consists of 13 unions in the ten countries.
The announcement took place today after Google and Canada employees established during the past weeks the AWU union, which started with 230 members to reach more than 700 members one week after the union’s launch.
The new Alpha Global Federation is also linked to the UNI Global Union, which has 20 million employees worldwide, and which includes Amazon employees.
Alpha Global confirms that the strength of the new federation is based on the solidarity of Google employees around the world, to solve the problems facing employees in Alphabet. Also, the Alpha Global Federation will work in the coming period to elect the company’s employees committee and union organizers.
