In an interview with Al Masirah TV, Abdel Salam explained that the aggression took place with an external coalition and was not satisfied with bombing and siege, but rather occupied areas and made them a starting point for military operations, such as Marib Governorate.
He pointed out that the Yemeni people must face the existing occupation for war and military tasks, especially in the areas of training and rehabilitation and military operations such as Marib Governorate.
He said: “What is happening in Marib is not a spur of the moment, and it has been a burning front since the beginning of the aggression.”
The head of the national delegation added, “We are in a position to respond to the escalation. As for the international conversation that portrays the battle of Marib as an attack, it means asking us not to defend ourselves and leave the recruitment centers for takfiris to operate freely.” When we are the ones calling for an end to the aggression and the blockade.
He stressed that there is no real move to stop the war and lift the siege, and Marib is a key military region for the forces of aggression since the beginning of the war, and what is happening today is the correct position to repel foreign forces.
He added that “the military option was imposed on us, and we have always demanded peaceful options, and we were surprised by the declaration of this war by Washington,” pointing out that the forces of aggression do not accept peaceful options, and even the United Nations does not dare condemn the blockade, and we cannot remain silent on the aggression.
“The real peaceful options are to stop the aggression, not prolong it, and the other side wants to keep the war, not end it.”
Abd al-Salam stated that he has no right to speak of humanity to those who have targeted displaced camps, markets, weddings, mosques, children, ports, hospitals, 30 million people are besieged and support political and military aggression.
He pointed out that the entire Yemeni people are besieged and prevented from oil ships and preventing the return of the wounded and sick who die due to the closure of the airport, and we have not heard any condemnation from the fanatics of human rights.
Regarding the American position, Abd al-Salam stated that he did not exceed the limits of speech, and until now we have not noticed any actual progress, and the American rhetoric is still changing until now, stressing that the blockade is imposed by American capabilities, and we cannot be deceived by any shiny words that have no truth.
He said that the war on our country must stop by going to implementation on the ground, not just in words, and the forces of aggression have failed politically and militarily and fell humanly.
