Dryden Police say four people have died after an explosion and fire broke out at a home in Victoria

Victoria Meadows Mobile Home Park.

Local investigators at the scene in Lapeer County are still searching for the cause of the explosion and the circumstances of what happened.

The police confirmed the killing of four people (a great-grandmother in her eighties, her 39-year-old daughter and two teenagers: a boy and a girl).

The police stated that the explosion and the fire occurred at about five o’clock in the morning, and the explosion woke up many residents in the vicinity because of its severity, and then the fire immediately caught fire.

Surrounding houses were affected by the fire, while the police evacuated nearby houses and drove away cars.

State police are still at the scene, searching for clues as to the cause of the explosion.

Officials say it’s too early to speculate on the cause, or whether anything went wrong.
